CASK CONDITIONED

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

  1. Place the cask on a sturdy surface (away from direct sunlight or heat source). Open the tap by pulling it out, but do not twist it. Be sure you can access the tap with a glass!
  2. IMPORTANT : let it stand for at least 12 hours to let the beer settle out.
  3. Just before you want to pour, remove excess CO2 by ‘ venting' using the red ‘bung' on top. Turn it in the direction of the arrow.
  4. To pour twist the tap in the direction of the arrow. To stop pouring, turn the tap in the opposite direction.
  5. Serve cool , ideally at 10 to 12oC. Once opened, the beer should be consumed within 5 days.
  6. Don't move the cask until you have finished it. That doesn't have to be in one go.
  7. Some people think pouring the beer into a jug before serving improves the flavour and head retention . Why not experiment with different techniques and glassware?
