CASK CONDITIONED
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
- Place the cask on a sturdy surface (away from
direct sunlight or heat source). Open the tap by pulling it out, but
do not twist it. Be sure you can access the tap with a glass!
- IMPORTANT : let it stand for at least 12 hours to let the beer
settle out.
- Just before you want to pour, remove excess CO2 by ‘
venting' using the red ‘bung' on top. Turn it in the
direction of the arrow.
- To pour twist the tap in the direction of the
arrow. To stop pouring, turn the tap in the opposite direction.
- Serve cool , ideally at 10 to 12oC. Once opened,
the beer should be consumed within 5 days.
- Don't move the cask until you
have finished it. That doesn't have to be in one go.
- Some people think pouring the beer into a jug before serving
improves the flavour and head retention . Why not
experiment with different techniques and glassware?
